Addressing the Challenges Faced by African Women
Melanin Network Victoria was established to address the unique challenges faced by African women in Victoria, particularly refugees and mothers. Many struggle with cultural misunderstandings, language barriers, and lack of awareness about available services. Melanin Network Victoria helps empower African women through mentorship. We provide culturally competent support, resources, and a safe space to discuss these challenges.
Our business model operates through community-driven programs such as workshops, events, and mentorship initiatives. We helps to empower African women through mentorship, workshops and community support, fostering growth, resilience and success in Victoria. We focus on:
- Workshops & Events – Covering mental health, business creation, and social empowerment.
- Advocacy & Outreach – Raising awareness about issues affecting African women.
- One-on-One Support – Providing personal guidance and connecting women with essential services.
In the first year, our goal is to establish a strong online presence and key partnerships. Within three years, we aim to secure sustainable funding, expand our services, and support over 1,000 African women in Victoria.
